The West Sacramento Parks and Recreation Department maintains 39 parks totaling over 200 acres, 790 acres of open space, 52+ miles of trails, an urban forest consisting of over 30,000 trees, building facilities including the Recreation Center, Community Center, Bridgeway Lakes Boathouse, Discovery Preschool and Club West.  The Department employs over 38 full time staff, as well as seasonal staff, to support this work.

Did You Know:
Bridgeway Lakes is both a recreation amenity and a storm collection basin.  The Lake fills during the rainy season and/or through groundwater.  As the weather warms and/or in dry years, lake levels naturally decrease.
